Garnier SkinActive Oil-Infused Cleansing Micellar Water is another micellar water I have recently used. This was my second purchase of a #micellarwater and this bottle was even smaller than the last one.
What I realized recently is, it is better to buy micellar water in smaller quantity. Unless you are using micellar water day and night to remove heavy makeup you don’t need a large bottle. These expires in 6 months and you will not be able to finish it within that time range.
Yes, double cleansing at night is highly recommended as sunscreens need to be removed through it. But in my case I have just recently got myself into using a sunscreen regularly so double cleansing was not in my routine. Doing makeup has also become a once in a while thing.
So my micellar water lasts too long and might expire even before I could finish half of the bottle. Therefore, buy a small bottle, finish it and then repurchase when you finish it up. And I did the same, emptied it up and bought the new one. Which one? Stay tuned for the reveal.
Anyways, coming to this product, this is not just a micellar water and it pretty much revelas with the look of the water inside the bottle. The pink lid one was water, like plain water but this one has a layer of oil sitting on the surface of the micellar water. So, to mix the oil with water I used to shake the bottle pretty well before every use.
It worked for me decently but not as good as the pink lid one. Not just that, I had issues removing my eye makeup with this one as with just a geltle rub my eyes would burn. So I couldn’t use it to properly remove my eye make up with it.
I am not sure whether this one is still available or not, if its not then its okay for me. Though it says it is for dry and sensitive skin and removes waterproof makeup, this one is not for me. I will still recommend the pink lid one, I mean the OG Garnier Micellar Cleansing water. That one might not be for waterproof makeup removal but suits my skin, soothes, cleans and take care of it without much of a eye burn. This one is a pass.
