My love for Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel must be known to you guys but unlike it the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream was a dud for me. Technically it was the gel-cream which is meant for dry, sensitive skin and the water gel suits the oily skin more. However, my dry sensitive skin loved the water gel like no other and just didn’t shower much love to the gel-cream.
This gel-cream from the hydro boost line is thicker and has no fragrance in it. It is a white thick cream that absorbs well on the skin without making it sticky. The only plus I must say. The water gel, on the other hand is light blue, has the best scent ever and hydrates my skin to the T.
Also, this gel-cream not having any scent just turns me off totally. On top, that non-fragrance has a certain smell to it which for me is chemically.
This gel cream was just OK for me but was not doing what the water gel did. To be honest, I bought the gel-cream thinking it as the water gel. What a noob I was. The shopkeeper didn’t allow me to open the tub and I couldn’t see how it looked or smelled like. I think even he didn’t know the difference. Hence the blunder and then the amazing realization of how good the water gel actually is compared to this one.
On the other hand, my husband just loved this gel cream and helped me finish it. I was hardly using it but didn’t want to waste such a product. It was pricey. It suited his skin just fine and though I had the water gel he preferred using this one. Kind of hints his slight inclination to this particular cream. That says how different human skin can be when it comes to products suiting.
I bought it just once and I have no intention of repurchasing it. When I can purchase the water gel I don’t need this one as it is not working on my skin.
Now you guys share which one suited your skin the best, the water gel or the gel cream? Also tell me what more you want to know from me about the products I have used and talked about till now.
